How does orthodontics treat TMD?
In certain cases, orthodontic alignment of the teeth and jaws can help relieve the symptoms of TMD that may be aggravated by a bad bite. Many symptoms, including clenching, grinding and muscle pain, are multifactorial and thus require an interdisciplinary team approach. Our orthodontists will conduct a thorough exam and determine what course of treatment is best to relieve your symptoms.
If you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed above and are concerned that you're a candidate for TMD treatment, please contact our office for a consultation.
